Jersey is a small island that packs more into it than you’d expect.
From Hedgerow House, coast, countryside and a good lunch are never very far away. These are the beaches we go back to, the places the children never want to leave, the walks worth taking the long way round for and the tables we’d happily book ourselves.
Just a few favourite corners of the island, from our family to yours.
Wander in our neck of the woods.
You don’t have to go far from the farm to find a good walk. St Lawrence is threaded with quiet lanes and wooded valleys, while Jersey’s north coast gives way to cliff paths, little harbours and the occasional very well-timed café.
Start gently in Waterworks Valley, make a longer loop through St Lawrence, or head north and walk from one bay to the next. We’ve picked a few of the routes we come back to.
Down through the valley.
An easy walk from Handois Reservoir through Waterworks Valley, following the old mill trail through one of Jersey’s quieter, greener corners.

A little more of our side of the island.
Country lanes, valleys and a few pieces of Jersey history along the way. The circular St Lawrence Parish Walk passes both Hamptonne and the Jersey War Tunnels before bringing you back round again.

Take it one bay at a time.
Climb out of Bouley Bay, cross the north-coast paths and Egypt Woods, then drop down into Bonne Nuit. There’s a café at either end, which feels like good route planning to us.

North Coast Walk on Visit Jersey
Jersey is made for seeing on two wheels. Green Lanes wind between fields and hedgerows, with plenty of reasons to slow down, stop at an honesty box or follow a lane simply to see where it goes.
Head out from the farm for a gentle loop through the countryside, or keep going until you reach the coast. We’ll share a few of our favourite ways to explore.
